As the holiday weekend draws to a close, I hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable getaway! The weather has been hotter than a firecracker here at Lake Eufaula! Thankfully, the lake was refreshing and the family time spent together was wonderful! The additional traffic of the weekenders made for bumpers to bumpers out on Number 9 Highway, and I'm guessing Willie Nelson and his concert caused a great amount, too!
The electrical use at the overflowing campgrounds caused a power failure and made my hubby's family and my sister and brother-in-law cut their visit short! After that, we decided we would just hit the beach. We grabbed Hope, our four legged child, and stayed cool just hanging out in the water with friends!
Of course this holiday weekend wouldn't be complete without me falling down at the beach! I did get up with nothing more major than skinned knees and a red face, although.. I didn't literally mean hit the beach!
So the holiday is over, and life goes on. Now peace and quiet abound around the lake! That is, until hubby drives down the road where the fireworks have been set off and left in the middle of the road. You will probably hear him holler... he'll be louder than a firecracker! :)
